I’m now half off-line. I will check SNSs time to time but perhaps be in silence occasionally.
I hope you had a good weekend, summer vacation or cheerful winter time.
See you soon.

This is the scheduled post. Thank you for your understanding.

Saru-hashi bridge at Yamanashi over the rapid

Saru-hashi (猿橋) bridge is lesser‐known but drawn in a Nishikie (錦絵) by Hiroshige (広重). The wooden bridge was built over the rapid where it was difficult to use pillars. Typically, in that case, suspension bridges are common solution but it was built with another classical way named “Hane-bashi”, literally drawbridge.

According to the Wikipedia, it is said that there’s no wooden Hane-bashi left in Japan and Saru-hashi is not the exception, that is, Today’s Saru-hashi was rebuilt with steel frames for safety.

Interestingly, there are four different bridges side by side there:

  • Saru-hashi, a pedestrian bridge
  • New Saru-hashi (route 20)
  • Water bridge for a power station
    and
  • another one

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.
The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.
The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fun!

201608-2001

Whether you like it or not, Disney is one of the most successful brand of the entertainment business and the Disneyland might be the most vibrant and popular destination for family tourists in the summer vacation season. You could see a lot of smiling, happy voices and romantic scenes there and you could feel happy more or less even if you don’t like any theme parks.
However, perhaps you may think you want to spend quiet hours with your family. Everyday life is always too noisy, isn’t it.

Here’s Tokyo Disney Sea in quiet eyes.
