Wordless Wednesday: Gently being Green
Fresh green
in a forest
I often take a stroll in a forest close to my house with my D-SLR. The forest is, exactly saying, a part of greens conservation area being scattered with some parks, well-managed woods, traditional farming villages and a zoological garden, located in the north of Yokohama.
Unfortunately, you can hardly see wild animals because it is an urban area. Though it is said that some Japanese raccoon dogs live there, what I have ever encountered seemed nonnative species introduced from Northern America or others from China.
It’s winter. The forest is quiet and colorless. Even so, it is still interesting.

A traditional decoration in Japan, Kadomatsu (門松), is made of pine and bamboo. Today, I looked up in a bamboo forest where some people was making a Kadomatsu several days ago and spotted this invisible circle.
